You see, no matter what the cause is of your hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation, none of the cures or remedies you can use actually address the root cause - which is believing that you're somehow not good enough. And changing your appearance doesn't change what you believe about yourself deep down inside.Does that mean that I don't recommend any of the hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation treatments I mention in this blog? No, of course not. If something is going to make you feel better, then it can be worthwhile. But know that the only truly effective way to feel better about yourself, is to love yourself just as you are.
Now, if you're still reading this, you may think I'm crazy. After all, this is a blog dedicated to hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation treatments. And in the spirit of full disclosure, I do make a commission from the ads and products linked here, and I am very grateful for that income. So why on earth would I tell you NOT to buy something that might treat hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation for you?
I'm not saying not to seek treatment. I'm suggesting that doing some emotional work will grant you even better, long-term results.
Now if you're on board with the Dove campaign for real beauty, or if you're a student of the Law of Attraction, maybe this is something you're ready to hear and accept. But if you're not, then that's OK, too.
Is accepting yourself as you are an easy thing to do? OF COURSE NOT! If it were easy, everybody would be doing it. That's why there are counselors and seminars and self-help books and plenty of other avenues to help you figure out what you forgot you knew.
If this is something you want to explore, then I am going to recommend two books. The first is You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life
The other book I recommend is You Can Heal Your Life
Remember: You are the only YOU there is. Love yourself and the world will open up to you.
